After being leaked early and then pulled from the web on Monday, the video for Taylor Swift’s Blank Space is back online and holy shit it is so good.
We went through the important sartorial elements of the video earlier as we waited for someone to put it online again, now let’s talk about the actual content of the video, which features the world’s number one male model Sean O’Pry.
The lyrics of the track make fun of Taylor’s media reputation as a crazy girlfriend, and with that in mind, she plays the part of the jealous girl incredibly well. She rips up his clothes, sets them on fire, takes a dagger to a painting of him… all the usual psycho stuff.
Not just that, she takes a golf club to his very, very expensive vintage car, and worst of all (in our opinion), throws his iPhone in a fountain. The best part of the entire thing though, is Taylor’s slightly unhinged and demonic expression as she destroys this guy's stuff. It looks like she had literally the best time letting all that rage out while simultaneously making fun of herself.
