And Finally.... Some Ace Sophia Webster Shoes

Because what girl doesn't need Clueless esque shoes in their wardrobe?

The Shrimps girls is the British girl right now. The brand has the wit, the sass and the ethics that has them nailing every talking point, with seemingly ease and immense GSOH. It's not the first time we've written about Shrimps - and if today is anything to go by, it's far from the last.

Now in her third season, designer Hannah Weiland has had a stratospheric career trajectory. In her presentation today at Somerset House, Laura Bailey and Alexa could both be seen admiring the collection (Alexa later wore a glossy navy faux fur coat at Moda Operandi's new store opening) whilst Hannah, long blonde mermaid hair fastened by a glittery hair clip, a faux fur Shrimps stole slung over her shoulder (despite the 23 degree heat) was quietly owning the room and taking the abundance of praise with gently smiling modesty.

In fact, given that it WAS 23 degrees, it speaks volumes about the desirability of her faux fur that we were all still dribbling over a candy pink 3/4 length sleeved faux fur jacket, or canary yellow faux-fur trimmed strappy sandals (part of a collaboration with equally OTM shoe designer Sophia Webster), or a leopard print jacket trimmed with pastel faux fur collar.

Another collaboration which saw Hannah's brand expanding in a winning direction, was with Poplin, a long established pyjama brand. White silk pyjamas bore tiny shrimps motifs (genius, yes we want), whilst others sported Hannah's colourful own doodles, much like Angelina's veil but with no kids involved. And more sass. In fact, there was a super sass team involved in bringing the collection together as a whole - DJ Hanna Hanra did the music whilst Alex Brownsell of Bleach London was responsible for the sleek chignons which reminded us of teenage debutantes waiting to come out at La Crillon. Except these teenage debs were about a trillion times cooler.

For anyone worried about how faux fur can work in summer, fear not; this season Hannah has worked with super lightweight faux pony hair - alongside the signature faux fur - and the styles are short sleeved, boxy or gilets. In line with the strong theme we saw coming out of NYFW just been, the sixties influence was strong.

This season Hannah sought inspiration from the Flinstones, with a kitsch rock-filled set that contrasted in its monochrome with the pop art bright colour of Hannah's collection. Another influence was the colourful works of Matisse and you need look no further than the palette of canary yellow, lilac, sky blue and bubblegum pink.

This was a happy collection, for a happy girl, by a happy designer. And so she should be. Because it's impossible not to see Shrimps - let alone wear it - and not smile. Three seasons in and she's cemented herself as one of the most exciting young designers on the British fashion scene. And given what we've just seen at SS15 today, we better start saving. We WILL own one by this time next year. And that's a promise.
