We are obsessed with loom bands, the fashion trend the teens started this summer, but have you got to grips with how to wear these little rainbow rubber bracelets yet? Sure, you have to be careful with craze started by the under 20s, but that doesn't mean you can't use them to add an explosive pop of colour to your look.

Luckily if you're looking for tips Fearne Cotton is all over them, Susie Bubble matched them to her neon ice-cream at Port Eliot festival last week and there's tonnes of inspiration on instagram. That we've rounded up for you right here:

It's not just rubber that's welcome at your arm party when wearing loom bands. They look ace contrasted against shiny silver and gold too. The bigger and chunkier the better.

Don't let wrists have all the fun

Remember those tattoo chokers everyone wore in the 90s? A loom band around the neck is the right now update on that. Moomin tattoo optional.

Hair 'em, wear 'em

In fact, you neededn't wear them on your body at all - Miley's wrapping them around her top-knot while she grows out her crop, and it looks pretty damn fine if you ask us. You could also try weaving them through your plaits too.

Go hard on colour

OK, so you might not actually paint your arm like Susie Bubble did at Port Eliot festival, but stick with us here... Choose a top with a full-colour print on the sleeves, and then layer your loom bands over it, and you can channel the look in a way less messy way.

Going for gold's cool too

You don't have to stick to neons when making loom bands. Track down bronzed ones for a trad-jewellery take on the trend.
