We've finally hit 2018; the year where many devoted festival goers will stifle sobs and disguise their disappointment that our beloved Glastonbury festivalis taking a bit of a break.

We understand, of course. It's right up there at the top of everyone's summer of music to-do lists. But those who venture to Worthy Farm on the regs will be well aware that having to book your Glasto tickets so early often means that you never have enough money to allocate to any of the UK and Europe's other incredible festival offerings. And there are LOADS.

The fact that there are so many is another problem in itself, of course. Which is why we've taken the time to create a comprehensive calendar of some of the best festivals that 2018 has to offer.

One of the exciting things about the line-ups of recent years is thatit's not just been about music. Sure the headline acts will draw crowds, but if you're not the biggest music buff and are more concerned about where you'll find good food, having something to do in the day time and are even looking for something that leans more towards a wellness escape than a piss up in a field, there's plenty of that on offer too.

Below you'll find a month by month guide to which festival is when (so you can avoid those dreaded clashes ahead of time), the line-up highlights to look out for, how much it's going to cost you and a line on what to expect from the general vibe of the whole thing. No faff, no wishy-washyness, just your dedicated need to know to help you get your shit together ahead of time (for once).
