A Café In Shoreditch Is Making Vegan Freakshakes

Freakshakes are everywhere thanks to the internet’s obsession with all things, edible (e.g. black ice cream), adorable (e.g. tiny food porn) and eccentric (e.g coffee in waffle cones). So it was only a matter of time before a clever hipster somewhere decided to recreate these dairy delights for the ever-expanding vegan market.

The Canvas Café in Shoreditch will launch their vegan freakshakes on May 31st to the delight of London’s dairy-free demographic, with flavours including avocado, coconut and raspberry.

The shakes have a base of coconut milk ice cream which is mixed with soya milk and topped with whipped coconut milk as a substitute for cream. Toppings include cakes with a date and nut base, chopped pistachios and homemade vegan Nutella. It’s almost enough to turn you vegan if you hadn’t already jumped on the bandwagon.
