Rihanna’s new Fenty Beauty collection has been hailed for its inclusivity, but until now we didn’t realise what this actually meant. Living up to her Badgalriri moniker, the singer’s dusty pink blotting sheets were supposedly designed to make smokers feel included. Why? Because they double as rolling paper.
Rihanna has never been shy about her love of all things marijuana, after all, she happily lit up in her ‘We Found Love’ video, dressed as the bride of Mary Jane for Halloween in 2012 and has been spotted smoking on more than a handful of occasions. And, back in 2015, there was even gossip that the singer was launching a cannabis-themed merch pack called ‘MaRihanna’. So, it makes sense that the internet jumped to conclusions.
At Rihanna’s launch event, she said that she preferred matt-finished skin, which is why she launched this oil-reducing product. However, this goes against the core aesthetic of the Fenty Beauty brand, which is all about dewy, highlighted skin. Sleuths, think this is yet another sign of the paper’s true purpose.
Those that have lit up with the product in question are definitely not convinced. Maybe this is just another internet hoax as the papers burn too fast to be enjoyed, or maybe Rihanna just like a quick puff?
