Eyebrows have become an essential part of our beauty routine ever since Cara Delevingne brought her big brow energy to the mainstream. And even if you don’t consider yourself as a ‘make-up person’, it’s likely that you’ve experimented with eyebrow grooming in some shape or form.

Backstage, not a show goes by without some sort of eyebrow touch-up - be it a little bit of pencil to fill in sparse areas or a brushed-up brow for that boyish effect. No look is complete without it. And according to Make-up Artist, Lisa Potter-Dixon - 'the power of the brow is real! When you’ve filled in your brows you instantly look more groomed and polished. If you’re in a rush, just add a bit of brow gel to set them in place. Even that can work wonders. Brush away from the hair and then back with the hair to glide the product from root to tip.'

For long-term results, there's a whole host of treatments out there like micro-blading, HD brows, tinting, waxing, threading and more recently - brow lamination. But if you can't get to your local salon, or the thought of tiny, pin-point needles pricking the skin (micro-blading) sounds too painful - then an easy alternative might be up your street. Enter: the game-changing brow products. No longer do we simply have the choice of which brow pencil to purchase - now, there's everything from brow mascara and at home tints to brow liner - that all promise to stay put for hours.

With so many brow products out there, finding 'the one' can be quite the challenge. To help make your decision easier, we've whittled down our absolute favourites, tried and tested by team Grazia...

Slick Hair Company, Slick Stick, £151 of 8

Slick Hair Company, Slick Stick, £15

'Hear me out. While I'm well aware this product is for flyaway hairs, it works wonders on my thick brows. Most brow gels have let me down when it comes to taming and shaping my brows, but Slick Stick hasn't disappointed me once.' - Lillian Sesiguzel, Social Media Producer

Benefit Gimme Brow+ Volumizing Eyebrow Gel, £22.502 of 8

Benefit Gimme Brow+ Volumizing Eyebrow Gel, £22.50

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, £233 of 8

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, £23

'I love the skinny pencil nib that allows for slight strokes to mimic natural hairs. Plus, the formulation is as long-wearing as they come – and I've tried a LOT' - Joely Walker, Beauty Director

Benefit 24 Hour Brow Setter, £22.504 of 8

Benefit 24 Hour Brow Setter, £22.50

'Once you've got your colour sorted, slick this over the top and it will keep your hardwork preened and put all day, without drying crisp like some other clear gels' - Joely Walker, Beauty Director

Glossier Boy Brow, £145 of 8

Glossier Boy Brow, £14

'I'm famously clumsy when it comes to defining my own eyebrows, so steered clear of most products (we're talking eyebrow pens and pencils here) until eyebrow gels became a 'thing'. Even then, if the formula is too pigmented I can end up pressing too hard wrecking my whole make-up look in one fell blotch. Enter Glossier's Boy Brow. Even their brown shade is fool-proof. I'm hooked. I've officially found 'the one'' - Annie Vischer, Beauty Editor

Maybelline Brow Tattoo Longlasting Tint, £12.996 of 8

Maybelline Brow Tattoo Longlasting Tint, £12.99

'I've always shied away from tinting. The reason being my brows are naturally very dark and I've always found them quite jarring against my bleached blonde hair. But, after hearing rave reviews from a friend - I thought I'd give this at-home tint a go, and I loved the results. So easy to use, you apply the gel over your brows – leave on for a couple of hours before peeling it off. The results? Your brows but better – it fills in sparse areas and creates a fuller finish' – Emma Stoddart, Beauty Writer

Dior Diorshow Brow Styler, £227 of 8

Dior Diorshow Brow Styler, £22

'If I had to pick my desert island beauty product – this would be it. The thin pencil makes application a total doddle - you can fill, shape and define with small, hair-like flicks. And the creamy formula is so easy to build up. The downside? I get through it in a matter of weeks' – Emma Stoddart, Beauty Writer

Hourglass Arch Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel, £278 of 8

Hourglass Arch Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel, £27

'This nifty little brush plumps up brows making them look fuller, more defined and darker (depending on the shade you choose). It's super easy to apply and looks really natural' – Emma Stoddart, Beauty Writer
