What To Wear On Christmas Day

The Christmas Day Outfit is the one of the biggest sartorial dilemmas of the year. It’s an event in itself, and one that splits the fashion camp year upon year.

Do you consider the fact that you’re about to eat at least three times your bodyweight in turkey and choose the comfiest pyjamas you’ve ever owned? Do you make a style statement and use it as an excuse to wear the shiniest thing in your wardrobe? WHO CAN SAY?

Thankfully, we’re here to keep the peace, and have provided some Instagram inspiration that will cater for all camps.

1. LissyRoddyy

One to please the lazy gals among us, Alicia is the Queen of casual cool. If, like me, your mum has banned you from actual pyjamas on Christmas day, a chic jumper and leggings are the next best thing.

2. ErikaBowes

A tailored pair of lightweight trousers paired with a loose fitting top is the ultimate smart/casual middle ground. Put together, but still with optimum lounging potential. Look to Zara for some with a flare for ultimate style points.

3. MeganEllaby

If you’re fond of a good old-fashioned pyjama day, make like Megan and treat yourself to a long striped pair of trousers like these ones. Minimal flashing potential (ideal for a family gathering) and comfort for dayssss.

4. PrettySickly

The trickster of the group, this outfit provides the perfect balance of dressy and casual with the bonus of an elasticated waist. Get crafty and tie an old v-neck vest in a knot to get the same effect, without breaking the bank.

With bare legs and a slightly heeled shoe, this Breton stripe dress from Novem & Knight is the perfect base to play around with.

    6. Little_Magpie1

If you’re in the camp that prefers sequins to slouching, you’re in for a treat with this dress. A high neck, more sparkles than you can shake a stick at and a reasonable price tag of £60. We approve.

    7. TarMarz

Frayed jeans are no longer just a fashion faux pas from your teenage days that need to be repressed to the back of the memory bank. Wear them with a turtleneck jumper and pointed boots for a simple, chic look.
