We Tried On The Best Spring Pieces From Warehouse Because We’re Over Winter Already

Spring feels like a new beginning doesn’t it?

You’ve been hibernating through winter in boots, tights and jumpers – anything you can find to protect every inch of your precious skin from the bone-chilling cold. And now you emerge from your polyester/cotton blend cocoon ready to spread your new season wings.

I left my black tights-trousers-turtle neck combo behind to try on Warehouse’s spring offering. And I’ve never felt happier to see a pair of sandals.

Keep reading to see how I got on.

Orange-nt You Glad It’s Getting Warmer?

Deep Waist Band Midi Dress, £42; Suede Knotted Sandal, £26When was the last time I wore orange? Probably the 90s, when The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was on TV and Destiny's Child, had four members. From the waist up this dress is a little matronly for me – probably a case of the material-to-boob ratio being off. But from the waist down it's a winner, such a flattering shape and nice and breezy for all those springtime strolls through the daffodils.

Red Stripe

Mixed Stripe Asymmetric Dress, £79; Suede Knotted Sandal, £26Oh, hello comfortable but flattering friend! This is the perfect winter/spring transition dress because the material is warm and cosy but the design and amount of carefree floatiness is very spring. One to wear without tights as it starts to get warmer around here.

Cosy, But Make It Fashion

Anais Floral Headband, £10; Cosy Crew Jumper, £25; Anais Floral Pleat Skirt, £49; Leather Huarache Shoe, £29You know that jumper you wore all winter because it's comfortable and cosy? Fling a floral skirt over it, step into some strappy sandals, add a headband (if you're feeling daring) and you've got a spring outfit. This is probably my favourite look of them all.

Jeans And A Nice Top

Stripe V-Neck Blouson Top, £34; Boy Cut Jeans, £49; Suede Knotted Sandal, £26I haven't mentioned the cute black sandals yet, have I? I didn't think they'd go with so many different looks but they do, and it means that with a pair of these you can just wear the jeans you've been wearing all the other seasons (because who has several pairs of jeans that actually fit?!) with a new top and have a whole new outfit. This is exactly the kind of 'nice top' people talk about when they say 'jeans and a nice top', I'd add hoop earrings, a bun and a red lip for night.

I’m CEO All Of A Sudden

Tweed Boyfriend Blazer, £69; Climbing Bamboo Print Polo, £29; Suede Knotted Sandal, £26'Oh hello, is my 11 o'clock here yet? In meeting room four? I'll be there in five.' As soon as I put on any blazer I think I can run the world, this one is especially confidence-boosting as it's long enough to cover your bum and any bulgy-untucked-in bits that jeans always create.

Bye Office, Hello Beach

Climbing Bamboo Print Polo, £29; Climbing Bamboo Print Skirt, £36; Suede Knotted Sandal, £26I'm ready to leave the office behind and lay out on a beach now thanks. As a Caribbean girl, I felt most at home in this outfit, the skirt is loose like the ones worn when it's so hot outside you can't bear to have your thighs sticking together, and the prints are bold and beautiful. * books flight immediately *
