Somebody Give Yolanda Hadid A Mum Of The Year Award

At last night’s British Fashion Awards, Gigi Hadid may have walked away with the International Model Of The Year trophy, but we’d like to propose a brand new award: Mother Of The Year, which we’re presenting to doting non-momager Yolanda Hadid. Accompanying her eldest daughter to the BFAs, Yo even fluffed Gigi’s train on the red carpet, which is basically the famous person equivalent of your mum using her own saliva to wipe a mark off your face. You know what we mean.

Outfit adjusting aside, here’s why we heart Yolanda like she’s our own mother. Almost.

**She’s Gigi, Bella and Anwar’s biggest fan **

Like Kris Jenner, without the pressure of actually managing her brood, Yolanda is her kids’ biggest cheerleader. Her Instagram – which has a solid 2.1 million followers – is full of photos of the girls walking the Victoria’s Secret runway, Anwar posing for Vogue Hommes and she even gave a shout-out to Gigi for knocking out that idiotic prankster at Milan Fashion Week.

**Her #tbt game is fire **

If we looked as cute as the Hadid kids when we were younger, we probably wouldn’t mind our mums sharing our baby photos. Yolanda’s #throwbacks are definitely an OMG-SO-CUTE addition to our feeds. And yeah, in case you didn’t know, Bella is a natural blonde.

**She’s an ambassador for Lyme Disease **

Yolanda, Bella and Anwar all suffer from Lyme Disease, a bacterial infection spread to humans by infected ticks. Causing extreme tiredness, aches and pains, amongst other symptoms, Yolanda has written a book about the condition (Believe Me: My Battle With The Invisible Disability Of Lyme Disease), and regularly hosts events to raise money for a cure.

**She’s a Real Housewife **

Or at least she was, until the end of season six of Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills, when Yolanda announced her departure. But that’s what re-runs are for, right?

**She’s a complete babe **

No surprises that Dutch-born Yolanda used to be a model herself, after being discovered by Eileen Ford and spending 15 years as a catwalk queen, before moving to LA in 1994. She's 52 and looks like this, people!
