Kanye West is Team Tidal through and through, which could go some way to explaining why he’s so anti Apple’s willingness to allow in-app purchases on its machines. He’s also pissed off about them, presumably, because his daughter, two-year-old North West, has proved nifty enough on the iPad to not only play games but buy loads of things within those games.

The rapper and producer tweeted:

People might have pointed out that his wife’s app, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood has in-app purchases, but it still stands to reason that that app isn’t quite directed at the toddler market.

If that app stops earning the Kardashian-Wests enough to pay for North’s tap-happy spending habits on other, more toddler-friendly apps, then Kanye could surely rake in the money to cover it via his budding music career.

The 21 time Grammy award winner appeared on American Idol to audition the other day, as a photo from Kim Kardashian’s Instagram proves. He seemed beaming in front of stunned judge Jennifer Lopez (who even gets a mention on Gold Digger, the song he auditioned with!)

And even if he can't rely on fame and fortune to pay for North's in-app purchases, he can look forward to becoming president and having the power to veto such unethical purchases. And he's got actual advice on how to become president from the actual president, Barack Obama, who had this to say at a Democratic fundraiser they both appeared at at the weekend:
