** 1. Just a Little Lovin'- Dusty Springfield**

When you're feeling a little sensitive, you need something familiar to remind you of a happy time. Put on something you loved in your teens. This song used to begin my every weekend.

2. Cat Power- Maybe Not

Don't deny yourself a moment to just wallow in self-pity. This Cat Power song makes me feel sad but in a great way.

3. Tom Waits- Rosie

I always want to listen to this song, no matter what the occasion. it's great to have go to tracks that will always make you feel good.

4. Doris Day- Secret Love

Another childhood favourite full of memories and warmth. This song puts back together any broken pieces.

5. Jon Hopkins- Immunity

Something new, recently discovered by me. It takes me on a journey and is completely immersive.

6. Nico- These Days

I could listen to Nico's voice all day long. It's nice to have a moment just focused on something beautiful happening.

7. Connan Mockasin- It's Choade My Dear

This song makes me feel so joyous. I think it's because of how relaxed the whole thing is. You need a moment like this on a confusion day. To realign things.

8. Sam Cooke- You Send Me

A beautiful song full of wistful longing and happiness.

9. Feist- Gatekeeper

Another of my all-time favourite songs. The perfect way to start any day.

Rae Morris features on the 'BBC Introducing Presents… Volume 1' compilation, released 16th March. Her debut album ‘Unguarded’ is out now and tickets for her UK tour are on sale including Shepherds Bush Empire on 8th October
