Welcome back to Thinking Out Loud guys! In case you missed it; our web series is basically The Debrief's very own version of Loose Women because it's pretty much just ace women sitting around and chatting about the things that matter most to YOU, you big Generation Y-er you.

Today's episode was inspired after comedian Sofie Hagen (you can see her in the gif below accompanied by a very rude word) was accosted by two drunk men at a tube station late at night who called her A) 'A fat ct' and B) 'A fat bitch'. Because people can be total f*ing wankers sometimes. Anyways, sh awkwardly removed herself from the situation and walked away. Then, she wrote this amazing post about the whole experience.

Anyways, it turns out that lots of people are used to being shamed by strangers in the street. Comedian Mae Martin for instance, says she has grown up with women coming up to her and asking her why she dresses the way she does. Again, because some people are total dicks.

For presenter Gemma Cairney, the reason why people think it's OK to publicly shame people comes down to a question of representation. If all you see on TV is the most-represented races, sizes and sexualities, then people will continue to see anything other than what is presented as 'conventional' or 'different'. Gemma recently had a mum come and tell her about how, when Gemma did the Glastonbury coverage, her mixed race daughter kept touching the TV because Gemma was the first mixed race person she'd seen on it.

All the girls agreed Lena Dunham was currently riding solo as our generation's poster child for anyone that didn't 'conform' to what we normally see represented in TV and film. Comedian and Debrief writer Stevie Martin couldn't get why people were still freaking out that Lena got naked on screen, four seasons on.

Mae decided to try to convince everyone that Jay-Z and Beyoncé are actually reptilian aliens. Because, erm. Dunno.

Then someone mentioned Kim Kardashian's bum and everything went to pot.
