American Girl Bobbie Beale Is Accused Of Killing Eastenders’ Lucy On Twitter, And Obviously Gets Very Confused

Imagine being framed for a murder that you didn't commit... A murder that was entirely fictional in the first place!

LUCY

Last night, Eastenders revealed who murdered Lucy Beale. The end of a storyline that had been dragging out for almost a year. It turned out her younger brother, Bobby Beale, had done it. Cue lots of people tweeting about it all, some a bit dismayed that it was a little kid, and not a proper thug.

One issue was, though, that Bobby Beale is a fictional 11-year-old, so he doesn't have Twitter for people to complain to. Bobbie Beale, a cool teenage girl from California, does have Twitter, though. So she was the one fielding tweets from Brits excitedly/angrily tweeting that yes, Bobby/ie Beale had killed Lucy!

Understandably she got pretty freaked out by the messages, such as 'why did you kill lucy?' and 'murderer' so tweeted this:

And then…

It was soon explained to her via this helpful girl

Bobbie then did what any teenager would do in the situation, take a selfie. She hashtagged it #IDidntKillLucy, too! Sadly, this tweet's had about 600 retweets at the time of typing this, whereas the first one where she wonders why people are tweeting her about Lucy has had about 16,000.

The favourite of ours is where someone leapt to her defence with this gem:

Bobbie told Buzzfeed: 'I was definitely confused. I saw the BBC tweet it, and then I realised. I looked up the show and I thought, Oh, this makes sense now, but at first I was really confused because I thought it was a real-life thing and I thought Bobby Beale killed someone and I was like, "It’s not me."'

If you found the solution to the Eastenders whodunnit a bit disappointing, at least you can take solace in the lolsy story it threw up…
