How much do the men in your life know about periods? We’d like to think that they’re pretty evolved – and no man can call himself your friend unless he’s prepared to pop to Superdrug on your behalf and knows that a heavy flow has nothing to do with Kendrick Lamar.
But we’re still laughing hard at this video from Hammerkatz, an NYU sketch group who wondered what would happen if men made tampon ads.

‘It’s literally impossible to know when your period will hit!’ we’re advised- it could be once, twice, or fifteen times in a month. Or over 100 times a day. But Tampax is the right fit for every woman ‘No matter how tiny your butthole is. Because that’s where tampons go,’ we hear, before one exhausted looking woman shows us a tampon filled brown paper bag that is roughly the same size as her upper body, exclaiming ‘That should do it for the week!’
We’re confident that most men know the difference between menstruation and the movie franchise Aliens, but we still got hysterical when we heard the words ‘Tampax is perfect for when tiny eggs covered in blood come out of my vagina, and I need something to scoop them up and put them back inside my body.’
Hopefully no-one will be able to relate to this fake male menstrual imagining, but if you do lay tiny, bloody eggs from your bumhole a hundred times a day, please accept our deepest sympathies.
