Taylor Swift Will Wear A Pair Of Shoes Twice. Get Over It.

She might be rich and famous enough to afford every single shoe on the planet, but does that really mean Taylor should have to break in a new pair of shoes twice a week?

The pseudo-environmentally-friendly among us might think that when a celebrity wears the same pair of shoes twice it makes them a recycler. However, that is obviously bullshit, because if there’s anything that provides a great leveller between celebrities and us normal folk, it’s that we all have feet and they’re dependably, predictably ugly and important.

Just because celebrities might get sent free shoes or have loads of money to buy whatever pair they like doesn’t mean they should wear a different pair every day. As fun as it might be to have all those endless options, they're still human people with their own individual toes and insteps and potential for blisters – can you imagine the lingering pain of having to break in a new pair every single week?

So sometimes, if the shoe fits, and it looks nice, why not wear it a lot? Well, because paparazzi and some weird factions of the press might get pissed off that you’re not transforming yourself like a Charlie’s Angels character with every click of the fingers. That’s why Taylor Swift has been mocked for daring to don the same pair of clod-hoppers twice in a month. ‘I get very attached to pairs of shoes, so I want to wear them all the time. But now I have photographers camped outside my house, and people who are all to quick to point out when I’ve worn the same shoe twice in a month.’

‘And they’re like, “She loooooves this pair!” Like, exclamation point. So I’ve really had to really cultivate more shoes than my favourite three.’

See, no wonder celebrities become divas. It’s what so many people expect of them, so they end up living up to it. Which is very odd considering the people who put them up to these diva antics in the first place might not even change their underwear on a regular basis...
