Yep, fashion month is here. NYFW (followed swiftly by London, Paris and Milan) is only just kicking off - and you've got a whole month of it, sister! So here are The Debrief influencers that you should follow. They won't post shit catwalk shots on Instagram; there'll be no blurry pictures of their heels.
Just the funniest, informative and in focus pictures you could hope to peruse (and no, we didn't include Cara. Because that would be like introducing you to Father Christmas on Christmas Day, right?)
Pat McGrath
Arguably the biggest make-up artist in the world right now - with an entire fleet to help her perfect catwalk beauty looks - Pat's incredibly beautiful pictures feature magical close-ups of glittering eyes, behind the scenes group shots and more models than you can shake a stick at. If you want to enjoy fashion month in a slightly less aggressive way - i.e. legions of catwalk shots that you don't really understand until the trend reports come out - then follow Pat's view: a little quieter, with tons of beauty inspo.
Margaret Zhang
The pint-sized Aussie blogger, law student and 21-year-old powerhouse has risen through the ranks to become one of the most popular fashion bloggers and stylists. For high colour, perfectly executed shots - she's nothing is not rigorously organised - follow Margaret as she travels from fashion week to fashion week, snapping catwalks, OOTDs and fellow megabloggers/models throughout. The occasional 'flower still life' blogger cliché may make an entrance, but we promise it's only a few.
Chaos Fashion
Run by fashion directors Charlotte Stockdale and Katie Lyall of the biannual magazine owned by Dasha Zhukova, Garage, this is one of the funnest and funniest feeds you'll find. Of the Cara school of not taking fashion too seriously (hallelujah), the ladies post pictures of things like Chanel tan lines, 'donutella' spread (Donatella + Nutella obviously) and over fashion week, funny pics from their Chaos Fashion photo booth van. (Last year they get pretty much every supermodel including Cara in there).
The New York Times Fashion
One of the best all-encompassing fashion week resources you can find on Instagram is the NY Times' fashion feed. Regularly updated with streetstyle shots by photographer @altmiranyc, it also features round the clock catwalk pictures of all the fashion weeks and the various evening events (trust us when we say that they are just as plentiful as the shows.)
Camille Charriere
French-British fashion blogger Camille - who you can find in abundance on our The Debrief - is known for her GSOH as much as she is her ice-bright monochrome heavy outfit pictures. Pretty much a global traveller, all in the name of the Great Fashion Cause, you can expect catwalks, cocktails, pristine designer garms and not so pristine locks as well as a ton of BTS model and blogger pics. If there's a more connected chick, we're yet to find her.
Into The Gloss
US beauty blog *Into The Gloss *founder and BFF of megablogger Manrepeller, Emily Weiss - remember her as Lauren's fellow intern in The Hills? - has a banging sense of style, but it's her site's focus on beauty which offers a fresh angle on fashion month. Run by the ITG massif, think beautiful young faces backstage and a first look at all the emerging beauty looks as soon as they debut on the catwalk. Oh and witty captions. Because we'll be damned if a single cringey caption-er makes it into this list, ok?
Hanne Gaby Odile
An old hand on the streetstyle scene - and one of the first models to capture the style snappers' attention - Hanne Gaby has as fun an approach to captions as she does to fashion. She also dresses up to leave a catwalk show even more than the people attending them. All whilst making it look super fun and natural. Join the fashion party with her.
Bip Ling
If you want to feel like you've taken acid and then leapt on a rollercoaster, then may we suggest you carouse your way through Bip Ling's Instagram? Brightly coloured pictures of her attending shows and DJing at lots of snazz events are infused with kitsch cartoons laid over the top - it's Moochi, FYI, her favourite cartoon - even when she's been at some super-posh Vuitton event in Paris. We like her balls, even if it sometimes gives us a headache.
** Chelsea Leyland**
The presenter/DJ has become a style icon in her own right, attending shows often with BFF Kate Foley - once an Opening Ceremony buyer and now a stylist and streetstyle icon much alike Wonderland Fashion Director Julia Sarr Jamois. These guys know everyone, wear new designers before anyone else has even heard of them and Chelsea provides a forensic view of the fashion scene from the all-seeing eye that is an afterparty DJ booth. Plus, her DJ outfits are always srsly good. Follow for non-catwalk, much-atmos shots.
Elena Perminova
This Russian oligarch's wife and model has the kind of life we can only dream of. When she's not holidaying in paridisiacal climes dressed in Chanel couture (for reals) she's FROW at every major show. There's no doubt she has a Social Media Editor on tap - wherever she is in the world, you can expect up to five brilliantly backlit pictures of her OOTD - but we don't even care because her fantasy fashion life just gets even better during fashion month, when she joins forces with other Ruski mega influencers like Miroslava Duma and Natasha Goldenberg. If we could play fashion sims, we would be Elena.
