Apparently it's 30 degrees celsius in New York right now. We were jealous of everyone gallivanting around the catwalk shows in the blazing sun, until we realised that that is really hot. Like, you want to be wearing a bikini and supping on an ice-cold Pellegrino by the pool, kind of hot.
So how have those fashionable kids solved the problem? A white skirt, of course. Everyone knows that black suckers in the heat like a terrier by the winter fire, so white is the coolest option. It's also a worker in (literally) cooler climes. White in winter is a bonafide thing now, after all.
