A flash in the pan trend that you totally thought would have bitten the dust by now? Well no, the crop top is going nowhere, guys. Popping up in various guises at New York Fashion Week, what became most apparent is that the trad crop top is out – and the crop top reduxed with its nifty new shapes, is in.

Put aside that (ever useful) long sleeved, round-necked ribbed number that you rely on with with every pair of high-waisted jeans/ every pleated skirt you come across and instead try one with a boxy shape and batwing sleeves, or one with an ‘up dip’ asymmetric hem.

Asymmetric hems are a bit thing this autumn. So where better to start from than your tummy button. That friendly little guy loves a new trend. And he’s gonna love the Mia Sweater, £60.60, Reformation, too.
