Poor Chloe Moretz. She’s now never going to be able to do an interview without being grilled about her totally platonic guy mate she’s definitely not going out with – Brooklyn Beckham. Because, er, he’s Brooklyn Beckham. And we’re sort of dying to know what they get up to while also remaining very cool and non-fangirly about the whole thing, obviously.
Her most recent interview with Teen Vogue sees her opening up about their relationship, but she plays it pretty cool: ‘What I find really interesting about Brooklyn – and what I really love about that kid – is that he’s passionate about what he wants, which is to be a pro-soccer star,’ she says. ‘He’s very serious about it. And I enjoy someone who is on my level with the seriousness kind of thing.’
Sort of plays it too cool, actually. ‘That kid’ makes it sound like she’s running a creche or something.

Say, in a parallel universe, if the pair were dating, they’d definitely not be hitting the club scene or doing any underage drinking though, which is a relief: ‘I’ve never been the kid who wants to do crazy stuff,’ she said. ‘I tell my mom where I’m going. It’s a pool party; I’m sure people are going to be drinking. But I’m not going to be drinking. I have a control issue. I like knowing who’s around me.’
Like Brooklyn, for example. But just as a friend, of course.
