Teen hearts exploded and gossip column inches grew as soon as 15-year-old Brooklyn Beckham has spotted skateboarding around Santa Monica beach with 17 year-old Kick Ass actress Chloe Moretz. (In defence of those teens – did you see his first modelling shots? Hot. #eventhoughhe'sonly15.)
Now, Chloe's been cornered to answer the question everyone's been wondering since those shots: so are they dating? Or just mates? Her answer was suitably Hollywood-style-evasive, as she described how the pair love skateboarding together adding that, while she likes to play it safe, Brooklyn has got a bit more of a devil-may-care attitude to the whole thing. 'I don't know. I mean, he has a pretty small skateboard, and I like more of a long board,' she told *Company *magazine, in what we hope was merely a skateboard reference. 'I think he's a risk taker, like a typical guy, weaving in and out of people. I'm a safety boarder – I don't want to break any bones.’
And as for how they met? 'I lived in London for sooo long when I was filming Hugo and Kick-Ass,' she reveals. 'I've known Raff, [Rafferty Law] since I was like, 14. And Kick-Ass screenwriter Jane Goldman's daughter, Honey-Ross is a good friend of mine, too.'

While she might stop short of announcing their marriage plans (#he'sonly15), that hasn't stopped usually-credible sources like People magazine saying the pair are indeed dating. 'They cycle together and are very cute. Always look to be cheering each other on with smiles. They also seem very competitive, but in a fun way,' a source told them. 'Brooklyn is always chaperoned by one of his parents. But both David and Victoria must be OK with Chloe, because they'll chat briefly with her and then leave them alone.'
Well, yeah – you would be ok with your son dating Chloe Moretz, wouldn't you? She's not only a kick-ass actress in more ways than one, she's super-smart, too. This is the girl who once said she wanted to take a break from acting to go to NYU to 'try some cinematography, art history, and abnormal psychology.' As you do.
