Last month, a group calling themselves
(https://thedebrief.co.uk/tags/facebook-et-al) page, designed to counteract feminism and its ‘toxic culture’, went viral.
Cue an onslaught of angry reposts, including anopen letter to the WAFs written by Laurie Penny on The Debrief, pointing out how they seem to have completely misunderstood what feminism actually means. Oh, and some cats had some funny things to say on the matter too.

You’d think that, once cat memes enter into the argument, all other responses would be immediately null and void, but you’d be wrong because there is now a hilarious parody of WAF called @NoToFeminism and it’s rivalling the furry-pawed-folks for its lols.

The feed – with the delightful bio ‘lol feminism no thanks’ uses sarcasm and a litany of spelling errors (some favourites include ‘femsiy’, ‘femisisn’ and ‘fesimnim’) to throw some shade on the whole anti-feminism movement and show just how nonsensical the arguments against feminism actually are. It’s not clear who’s actually behind the feed, which has managed to get 2,500 followers since it went live three days ago. But whoever you are, props to you.
