Kelly Osbourne’s Stories Clothing Line Will Fit Up To A Size 26

Stories doesn't discriminate against plus-sized women

Just because she dropped several dress sizes in recent years it doesn’t mean Kelly Osbourne has forgotten how irksome it can be to shop for sick clothes when you’re a curvy woman, as is made evident in her new clothing line Stories.

The collection – which launches in September – will fit a size UK 4 to a UK 26 and, unlike many brands, all sizes will cost the same. In case you weren’t aware, some companies up the price of clothing when they enter larger sizing, saying the extra fabric costs more.

‘In my research, I’ve found that the prices go up after size 10 and that really hurts my heart – it’s not fair! So with my line, the size 2 will be the same price as the size 24,’ Kelly told WWD.

The collection includes graphic slogan tees, print shirts, pattern jumpsuits, pencil skirts and more. The title comes from the memory or ‘story’ you create every time you wear a piece, she says: ‘Oh, I wore those shoes on stage every day when I was in Chicago,’ and ‘I wore that dress to my friend’s funeral,’ and ‘Oh my gosh, I wore that skirt on a date and it still has a stain on it from where I fell off the steps because he tried to kiss me, I didn’t want to kiss him and I broke my wrist. I can’t get rid of that.’ Like, there are all these funny emotional attachments.’

She's also realistic about her role in the fashion world and isn't under the illusion that she can be the next superstar couturier; she simply wants to bring affordable, well-made clothes to women of all sizes. She says: 'My mission is not to be the number-one fashion designer in the world. I’m not trying to change or come up with anything that people haven’t already done. I’m just trying to make fashion fair and make good-quality basics available to all women.'

To show her true commitment to her brand, Kelly’s tattooed the logo on the side of her head. It’s actually a pretty smart place to get tatted because it’s so easy to hide if you feel like it, not to mention the 'walking billboard' factor.

 

Apparently her friends are already making requests for pieces – Taylor Swift apparently wants the black and white polka-dot dress, which looks as though it was actually designed with her in mind.

The line launches in the US on HSN (Home Shopping Network) on 25 September and will go on sale internationally via Bluefly in late October.
