In this world, there are some things worth fighting for. And it seems that, if you’re an Australian billionaire, that thing is Miranda Kerr. James Packer and David Gyngell, who both made their money in the media, and have been friends for 35 years (Gyngell was Packer’s best man!), are alleged to have had a full-on, teeth-endangering fist-fight on the streets of Sydney over the Victoria’s Secret model.

It’s alleged that David, 47, got annoyed that James, 46, and had sent his camera crews to follow Miranda and James around. James, who recently divorced his second wife Erica Baxter, has apparently been getting close to Miranda of late.

According to an onlooker, it got pretty violent. Chris Walker later posted on Facebook: ‘Packer packered [sic] a punch but copped a couple of hits straight to the jaw…Then they all fell on the concrete fence and I think the other guy broke his fac.e they were looking for teeth after he left.’ The street brawl was allegedly broken up by James’s bodyguard, according to The Metro’s sources.

The pair released a joint statement saying: ‘We have been friends for 35 years and still are. In that time, we have had our fair share of ups and downs.’ Very diplomatically, they added: ‘We respect each other and neither of us will be commenting further.’

Before you jump to the not entirely ridiculous conclusion that neither man actually knows Miranda Kerr at all, she recently said she has been ‘friends for many years’ with James. Regardless, both of the men might have to take their lusty affections elsewhere, as Miranda said that, if he ‘mentally stimulated’ her, Shane Warne could be in there with a date with the model. When pushed, she told KIIS FM: ‘I am not saying no... if you meet them and you have a connection or whatever it is... if you connect on some level.’

We get it, Miranda Kerr is hot. But worth losing teeth over? Surely no-one’s worth that?
