It's very tough losing a pet, especially when you're not there to say goodbye to them. It's hard, then, to not feel very sorry for Miley Cyrus, whose dog Floyd has just died while she is on tour. Hours after tweeting 'today is the 2nd worst day of my life' she posted loads of photos of the Alaskan Klee Kai with the words:

She's so upset she even went as far as saying that she doesn't even want to be alive anymore. 'Know I don't mean it but I wish he would've taken me with him this is unbearable. What am I gonna do without him?' I am miserable.'

Now it might be tempting to think the twerker slash tongue-slider is being a drama queen, but seriously - have you ever had a pet die? It's intense. More intense than watching *Marley And Me *when you're so hungover your eyes are dried out. So we're with Miley. Pet grief is the worst. As proven when Sue Perkin's tribute to her beagle Pickleswent viral earlier this year. (This is the last time we'll ever link you to a pet forum page, we promise/think).

Still, ever the professional - seriously - she apologised to her Boston fans in advance of her show there. 'I'm sorry in advance if I am not myself tomorrow Boston. I will try my best to be my best,' she then Instagrammed a close up of her right eye full of tears.

Aw. Miley.
