So, a world-renowned Olympian and Paralympian is on trial for shooting murdering his girlfriend, and the universe decides to focus its attentions on the blonde on the defendant’s legal team. Naturally.
It’s Day Four of Oscar Pistorious’ trial, and in lieu of any real news (actually there’s plenty - check out the latest here), The Sun, International Business Times and a decent proportion of Twitter have fixed their energies on identifying the hot blonde pictured with Oscar’s legal team in the courtroom.
Her name is Roxanne Adams, she’s a 24-year-old yoga lover and (presumably) legal expert, and she’s caught the world’s attention because who wants to look at a bunch of middle-aged blokes in suits debating the finer points of the South African legal system when there’s a hot blonde in the room?
Roxanne is a Candidate Attorney (trainee lawyer) with law firm Ramsey Webber, which is representing Pistorious. We thought we'd tell you this because *The Sun *fails to mention where she works, or what her job title is - lest we start to think she’s in the room to perform an actual legal function, rather than for us to gawp at. The paper quoted a colleague of Adams’ at the court in Pretoria as saying ‘We wondered how long you guys would take to notice Roxanne, she’s a favourite here.’ Wow, that sounds like a fun place to work.
It looks like Roxanne Adams is going to be South Africa’s version of the Woman on the Left - Carine Patry Hoskins - the female barrister at the Levinson Enquiry, who caught the world’s attention on account of the fact that she was a pretty attractive woman.
