It’s almost as if Jennifer Lawrence is being fed quotes from a mysterious cabal of clued-up girls, because in every interview she does, she gives us exactly what we want to hear. This time, she’s said that she’s a big fan of TOWIE, and adores the high jinks of Gemma Collins, Arg and whoever else is still on the show three years down the line, for all its excess and preposterousness.

‘You guys have your own version of Jersey Shore which is so ridiculously amazing I can’t even begin. It’s like another world in Essex,’ she said, and we all know she's a fan of those types of shows – she recently admitted that she perfected her accent for American Hustle by studying *The Real Housewives Of New Jersey. *

Jennifer, whose boyfriend Nicholas Hoult is from just outside of London, is a self-professed Anglophile. Not only because of the wonderment that is a paper bag of battered fish and chips so oily they’re green at the sides, but because no-one hassles her when she goes out to pick up a takeaway, even when she’s dressed like crap. ‘I’m a big fan of all things British. I get to spend some time there now and again and I like that I can go for fish and chips wearing the most awful outfit and it’s cool, you know,’ is how she puts it.

She added that, like the average Briton, who watches four hours of TV every day, she likes to laze about watching the box. ‘I don’t do much when I’m in the UK, though I do watch the TV. I really like the shows you have there. You guys get to say fuck and shit a lot more than our main TV shows do.’

Oh, did our heart love till now…
