Beyoncé Treats Crew To £700 Meal At McDonald’s (Not Nando’s!)

Bought 50 large fries from a Manchester branch of fast-food chain...

Everyone knows Beyoncé likes Nando's. After her V Festival gig, she spent £1,500 at an Essex branch of the grilled chicken joint. This came a few months after she spent £750 at a Dublin Nando's. But this time around, perhaps irked that the company didn't give her a black card - if Ed Sheeran gets one, how come Beyoncé can't?! - she spent £700 at a McDonald's, getting in meals for her 11 tour buses worth of crew.

The discovery was made after a 'fan' (other articles are saying she's a fan, but she wasn't at the Beyoncé gig, she was at the theatre that night, which is hardly dedication) went to a Manchester branch of the fast food joint to get a snack, but discovered that Beyonce had used up most of the stock.

'I'd stopped off on my way home from the theatre to buy a cheeseburger at McDonald’s as I was feeling peckish,’ Helen Nugent told Mancunian Matters: ‘The lovely girl at the till looked a bit shell-shocked and I soon found out why – she told me “Oh my god, I’ve just done an order for £700 for Beyonée’s 11 tour buses."'

Apparently, this stupefied McDonald's worker had made 50 portions of fries (large), 22 boxes of Chicken McNuggets, 26 Big Macs and 'a lot of salad' for the dancers on the tour.

Still unconfirmed, however, is how many milkshakes were bought simply so that people could dip their chips into them. We all know a masochist who enjoys that delicacy, don't we?

Helen admitted she felt a bit shamed that she was ordering so little from McDonald's: 'I felt a bit a twit after that, just asking for a solitary cheeseburger.'

(Tbh, the other night at one 24hour McDonald's, we overheard some women waiting for their order angrily ask the man at the till where their chicken wings were. To which he replied 'we don't sell chicken wings' and frankly, that is a bit more embarrassing than being burger-shamed by Beyonce.)

McDonald's declined to comment on the visit - very classy of them.

So where next for Beyonce and her crew? KFC? Burger King? Subway? The list of fast food joints within spitting distance of any gig venue Bey plays at is, sadly, quite long.
